As a Financial Analyst, you will play a key role on our Finance Team with exposure to areas such as: financial reporting & analysis, account reconciliations, and leases. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of accounting and be ready to take part in a fast-paced and exciting environment that is continuously growing!

 

Role and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the month-end close process performed by the finance team, including the preparation of journal entries.
  • Prepare supporting working papers for internal and external financial reporting purposes.
  • Prepare accounting journal entries including recurring IFRS 16 lease journal entries.
  • Perform monthly rent reconciliations and review prior to payment.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual reconciliations and IFRS 16 lease continuity schedules, investigate discrepancies and propose accounting adjustments as needed.
  • Be the liaison between finance and real estate departments to ensure lease software is accurate and up to date
  • Prepare financial analysis on an as needed basis.
  • Communicate effectively to resolve discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
  • Other administrative, reporting and data entry duties as required.

 

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in accounting, business administration or related field preferred
  • Minimum, 2-years’ accounting experience; post-secondary education will be considered in lieu of experience
  • Previous experience with accounting software packages
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required with proficiency in other MS Office applications
  • Able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and prioritize various deliverables
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to think logically and complete work with a high degree of accuracy
  • Power BI experience would be considered an asset
