Looking for an individual who will work in the Edmonton office and be responsible for project management process of securing new retail locations for our cannabis stores.

The candidate will work with brokers on package creation of new sites, tracking locations, tracking dead lines, documentation preparation review and negotiation, interdepartmental coordination of new stores, working with landlords to ensure smooth transactions.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, track, and report on cannabis projects to the SVP
  • Prepare accurate and timely project activity reports and other internal reporting as required
  • Liaise with brokers, prospective landlords, and provide accurate and timely information about the properties
  • Review proposals and offers to lease relating to prospective opportunities
  • Prepare project recommendations for approval by the SVP and executive team as required
  • Responsible for managing project schedules to ensure that the project is delivered on time, and within agreed to scope of work

 

Skills required for success in this role:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma from an accredited institution (business or commerce degrees preferred) and/or minimum three years’ experience in the commercial real estate industry
  • Possessing the capability to oversee multiple diverse projects with competing priorities requires confidence, strong analytical, and negotiation skills
  • Applies strong project management techniques and skills combined with a large complex business environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey status and concepts clearly
  • Accustomed to fast-paced environments with shifting priorities and excel under pressure to meet all required deadlines
  • Exceptional reporting and project management skills
  • Must have strategic and creative thinking skills
  • Excel knowledge a must.
  • Previous brokerage, tenant or landlord experience with leasing and negotiations
  • Knowledge of legal and retail commercial real estate documentation
