About the Role

Reporting to the CIO, the Digital Marketing Team Lead will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the digital marketing team as well as taking on the role of a paid advertising specialist by analyzing, developing, creating, and optimizing digital and social media campaigns for all the digital media platforms. This role will have two roles reporting into it, Social Media Coordinator and Web Designer.  The ideal candidate will be consumer centric with strong passion for delivering relevant and engaging visual content. Role and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Execution of all digital tactics, including sales promotions, campaign rollouts, store grand openings, in-store & social media promotions and contests, sponsorship and partnership promotions and local marketing requests; attend events as required
  • Build out custom digital marketing campaigns by utilizing PPC Campaigns, Google AdWords, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), link & citation building, google maps optimization and website analytics
  • Develop eye catching ad-copy and creative writing for all advertising material
  • Attract potential customers by using social media to facilitate and create promotional and educational information
  • Create, edit, and publish innovative and relevant content for various social platforms using online software (Sprout Social)
  • Maintain and stay connected with our registered membership through our email platforms (Celebration Members Club)
  • Facilitate online conversations and respond to inquiries from our customers
  • Facilitate campaign progress meetings to various stakeholders to discuss the performance of online marketing campaigns
  • Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), monitor KPIs using analytical tools to assess opportunities and issues
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SEO industry and conduct detailed keyword research for new and existing SEO programs
  • Considering web traffic and other customer engagement metrics, develop and maintain a social media posting strategy and schedule
  • Utilize key web analytics metrics to understand and refine the customer journey on-line.
  • Increase organic traction by suggesting UI/UX improvements and performing keyword research to optimize viewership 
  • Coordinate digital marketing campaigns, monitor progress and completion
  • Generate, analyze, and create reports of marketing data as requested
  • Create reports regarding social media analytics online reviews and customer feedback and other analytical information
  • Strategize, plan, and implement Search Engine Marketing (SEM) & Pay Per Click (PPC) marketing
  • Maintain and optimize digital display and search ads, and create re-targeting ads based on analytic results
  • Use existing content from vendors and manufacturers to create social media content
  • Ensure maximum effectiveness of marketing material by staying up to date with changes to social platforms
  • Maintain highly collaborative relationships with external and internal stakeholders
  • Research current social media trends and collaborating with internal and external partners
  • Ensure all social media information follows federal and provincial advertising guidelines
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of marketing materials
  • Liaison with Business Technology Department on larger issues regarding scope and complex technical matters
  • Other marketing related tasks as required

 

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Marketing and/or Communications
  • Minimum, 5 –7 years of Digital and/or Communication experience in a retail corporate environment preferred
  • Minimum, 2 – 3 years of digital marketing account experience in a management capacity
  • Minimum, 2 – 3 years of technical, local, and organic SEO
  • Minimum, 2 – 3 years of Google Analytics experience
  • Minimum, 2 – 3 years of Google Ads & PPC Advertising experience
  • Knowledge of Sprout Social and/or HootSuite would be an asset
  • Strong knowledge of using website analytics tools for strategic analysis and reporting
  • Strong knowledge of using search engines, search engine optimization and basic factors that can influence rankings
  • Moderate knowledge of content management systems, HTML, CSS, and other technologies that impact digital marketing would be an asset
  • Knowledge of online advertising (PPC) and Usability (UX, PR)
  • Knowledge of Shopity and/ or other CMS would be an asset
  • Previous agency, retail and/or liquor industry experience considered an asset
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite applications
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be able to pass a basic security clearance
